Virgo Season: 23 August - 22 September

Leo supported us in our path of unconditional self-love, showing us that we are here to be expressive and creative. While Virgo is here to further teach us how innately worthy we are.

We welcome in the Sun season of Virgo and her healing, rejuvenating energies that come along with it. In this season all health related activities will be received with supportive energy. Book that acupuncture session, go for long walks in the forest, do those in depth journaling sessions in your own sacred space. What healing on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level are you being called to do this month? Where can you meet yourself and do something that will be nourishing for you as the holistic being you are?

Characteristics

The symbol of Virgo is the one of the Maiden, the Virgin, in her purest form. She also represents the Harvest season which is typically around this time of the year. Virgo’s energy and essence is more practical. After the highly social and outwards driven energies of summer, Virgo invites us to begin planning, structuring and being organizational with our time for the season ahead.

Ruling Planet

Mercury rules both the mutable signs Gemini and Virgo. It governs the world of intellect, reason, commerce and communication. In combination with the element of Earth, it gives its analytical, structural, observant and detailed nature.

Astrological House

The House of Service and Health is also referred to the house of service to others. It indicates your need to ehlp others and to be useful in the world. It rules the relationship you have with the people you work with. The sixth house is also connected to mental and physical health, daily rituals and habits, routines and the day-to-day work.

Modality

Mutable signs are here to help us transition into new energies. Their love for change and variety, gives them the gift of adaptability. Restlessness, fast and practical solutions is also associated with this mutable sign.

Element

Being of the Earth element and in addition with its mercurial influence, makes Virgo have a quick way to process and analyze which can lead to anxiousness and impatience. Earth strives for stability, giving Virgo its desire for perfection.

This is why it’s important for us to come back to our bodies through grounding. Walk barefoot as much as possible. Go for long walks in the forest and let nature absorb any stress or tension from your body and mind. Dance until you forget time and space to let stress flow through you. Know that we are whole beings, meaning everything we experience, we process on many levels including the physical.

Body Astrology

Virgo is connected to the small intestine and digestive system. During Virgo season, it is a good time to focus on gut health. Virgo being a mutable and earth sign, helps transform material in the body from one form to another.

Human Design

The Gate 64 of Confusion is part of the Channel of Abstraction. A design of mental activity and clarity. The head center in Human Design is a pressure center and creates the pressure to think and know. People with this Gate or Channel have a very active mind, which might spiral into confusion. This confusion can mark the beginning of a new and inspiring journey, helping you discover what really does make sense. It is the acceptance that the mind will never be the authority of your life and that nothing will ever make 100 percent sense.
