Roughly every 6 months we experience a season of Eclipses which come both in the form of Solar and Lunar Eclipses. What is even the difference between a Solar and Lunar Eclipse? And what is even an Eclipse or Eclipse season for that matter?
So first thing is first: Solar Eclipse happens solely on a New Moon, when the moon goes dark, however in combination with an Eclipse, we see a ring around the moon. A Lunar Eclipse happens solely on a Full Moon, when the moon appears to have a redness to its light.
Eclipses happen due to the positioning of the Earth, Moon and Sun which create unique rare lunar events. Such as when an Eclipse occurs on a New Moon, we see the shadow of Earth on the moon when normally a New Moon is always completely dark to the naked eye. On the Full Moon moves into the shadow of Earth creating a red hue.
Eclipses occur every time the lunar nodes intersect with the moon and sun’s path. The lunar nodes are energetic vortices that show us in which direction our society is heading in, or where our karma lies in this and past-lifetimes.
The Eclipse season is marked by the lunar nodes being no further away than 17° from the sun. Since the Lunar nodes are energetic vortices that show where we are heading karmically, it is attached with lessons. About twice a year we enter a season of 2-3 eclipses.
Seeing the shadow of the Earth on the Moon during an Eclipse makes it not an optimal time to manifest intentionally due to the chaotic shadow energy. It is a time to be present and observe what is ready to be transformed. Eclipses bring in radical change and transformation. Something that would have taken months for it to clear and heal is brought drastically to the surface to be witnessed, recognized and thus integrated into our being.
This lunar event is asking you to reconnect in a deeper way. It is about giving gratitude about the lessons that came through and implementing this new found awareness into your life.
Looking up where your lunar nodes are located on your personal astrological chart could also give further indications onto what you might be internally working through during this Eclipse season.
When an Eclipse occurs on a New Moon, we see the shadow of Earth on the moon when normally a New Moon is always completely dark to the naked eye. Eclipses are powerful energetic portals that are tied to the past and future. The energy is felt collectively helping us change lang-lasting patterns.
On the Solar Eclipse, the energies of the New Moon are even more amplified than usual and takes on the energy similar to the Full Moon. Release, breakthroughs and fresh starts are all themes on a Solar Eclipse. It is recommended to refrain from praticiting any manifestation or intention setting rituals during the chaotic energy of the Eclipse. Be open for karmic lessons and find ways to ground your energy and physical body during this shadow period.
On a Lunar Eclipse, we see the shadow of the Earth on the Moon giving it a red hue. Making it not an ideal time for manifestation. However, to be present with what is true for you in this moment. A Lunar Eclipse happens solely on a Full Moon, when the moon appears to have a redness to its light.
The Lunar Eclipse is revealing in nature. It shows us what significantly needs to change. It is an opportunity to detach ourselves from emotions and situations that no longer are serving our evolution. It can be felt on our emotional body strongly. The change that the Eclipses bring can come abruptly and dramatically. Although it might have been already simmering under the surface for a while until the Eclipse unearthed the truth and possibility for change.
To understand Eclipses, we first need to understand the lunar nodes. Eclipses occur when these energetic points are being activated by the current signs of the Sun and Moon. These are energetic vortices and placements that intersect the Sun’s path and Moon’s orbit. Like the Sun and Moon, the pull of the Nodes is ruled by the astrological sign they are in. Each Node takes on the zodiac constellation where it is placed, which always are in opposition to one another.

Overall, the Eclipses are here to create massive change. It supercharges the lunar phases in such a way that it creates chaos (or what seems to be chaos at first) for clarity to come in later. Expect a season of transformation, which might occur a lot more quicker in a short period of time.
My main tip for you this Eclipse season is to be more, do less, observe life occurrences, sit with the meanings behind them and surrender as much as possible to the process.
